I am a warm, down-to-earth, open-minded, and fully qualified therapeutic counsellor.

I specialise in helping people with anxiety and low mood/depression. I also have a keen interest in helping people manage their mental health whilst living with chronic health challenges.

My own life experiences and personal healing influenced my decision to become a counsellor. I remain committed to my personal growth and to my professional development.

I have worked with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and cultures, who were experiencing a broad range of things such as relationship breakdowns, chronic stress, low self-esteem, lack of purpose, self-harm and depression. I respect and value equality, diversity and inclusion.

I have a keen interest in mindfulness, which I continue to use in my own life. If you would like to learn about it or expand on your mindfulness practice, then we can utilise this during our sessions.

Experience

I understand that it can feel daunting to take the first step by seeking counselling, but I will help you feel at ease and go at a pace that you feel comfortable with.

NHS: Lambeth Talking Therapies and Talk Wandsworth

I offered short-term solution-focused therapy for NHS clients within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service. During my time there, I worked with a diverse range of clients who were experiencing a vast array of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, chronic health challenges and bereavement.

Headstrong Counselling

I worked in open-ended and low-cost psychotherapy for the community interest company Headstrong Counselling. I worked with a broad range of issues and was able to go deeper by offering as many sessions as each client required.

Further Experience

I am an RNIB Accredited Sight Loss Counsellor, with experience supporting clients as they adjust to sight loss and the broader impact of living with a disability or long-term health condition. I have also received specialist trauma training with Carolyn Spring, which helps me to support clients in regulating their nervous system following trauma and stress. In addition, I have facilitated online group work through the charity Action for Happiness, by hosting their Happiness Habits course.

I believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is key to success. I offer a free, no-obligation chat for you to get a feel for me and how I work.
